Don’t Quit — Even When the Road Gets Rocky

Starting something new can feel exciting… and terrifying at the same time. When you step onto a path you’ve never walked before, you quickly discover something humbling: you don’t know what you don’t know.
As a new author, I’m learning that lesson every day.
Writing the books? I love that part. Marketing them? Let’s just say I’m still learning… a lot. Some days feel like a big fail. Some days I wonder if anyone even sees the work I pour my heart into.
But here’s the truth — I’m still standing.
I haven’t stopped dreaming, and I don’t plan to.
There have been moments when the profits weren’t there. Moments when progress felt slow. Moments when doubt tried to whisper, “Maybe this isn’t for you.”
But deep in my spirit, I believe this is an assignment God placed in my heart. And when God gives you an assignment, turning back is not an option.
So, I keep moving forward.
Life will always place little rocks in your path — discouragement, fear, comparison, mistakes, delays. The question isn’t whether obstacles will come. The question is:
Will you let them trip you up… or will you step over them?
You can choose fear, like the lion who believed he had no courage. Or you can choose faith.
Here’s what I choose every day:
A backbone of perseverance
A cup of courage
A drink of confidence
And a plate full of “I was made to do this”
Dreams don’t grow because the road is easy. They grow because you refuse to quit walking.
If you’re on a journey that feels uncertain, challenging, or lonely, hear this:
You are not failing — you are learning. You are not behind — you are becoming. You are not alone — God walks with you.
Action Steps to Keep Moving Forward
Take one small step today — progress beats perfection.
Stop measuring success by speed; measure it by faithfulness.
Speak encouragement over yourself daily.
Remember why you started.
Refuse to quit — even on the hard days.
Your dream was given to you for a reason. Don’t let temporary struggles steal a permanent calling.
Keep pressing. Keep believing. Keep going.
You were made for this.
With Love,
Danica
